The idea
Most learning apps feel like homework. NabuX turns a curriculum into a world: each subject is an island on an atlas, each lesson is a short mission, and the map fills in as you master it. It is built Arabic-first, not translated afterwards.
What I built
- A server-authoritative game engine. The server checks every answer and awards every point, so progress can't be faked from the browser.
- Seven question formats, missions and quests, streaks and badges, avatars and a shop.
- The Atlas, an explorable map built with Phaser, where each subject is an island.
- An AI navigator that suggests what to learn next, and narrated audio voiced with ElevenLabs.
- The Workshop: three hands-on machines that show how AI works (an autocomplete kitchen, a critter you teach with real nearest-neighbour learning, and a fact detective), sharing XP and badges with the Atlas.
- Accounts, Stripe billing and email, plus an admin console where the curriculum is written, validated and published without a redeploy.
Running it
React 19, TypeScript, Phaser, Node.js and SQLite on a Linux server, released atomically with one-command rollback. nabux.org is the landing page; app.nabux.org is the game.
